Special Edition featuring a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating for reduced friction, smoother cutting action, and enhanced corrosion resistance.
Designed in collaboration with Motion Cooking in Graz, this Bunka knife embodies the seamless fusion of fine culinary art and traditional blacksmithing. Hand-forged from high-carbon steel, each blade is hardened to 62 HRC and finished with a specialized C-Grind for superior food release and an effortless, razor-precise cutting feel. The refined geometry merges high performance with intuitive control, ensuring ingredients glide off the blade cleanly during prep work.
The handles are crafted from ebonized Austrian walnut, meticulously contoured for a balanced feel and a natural connection between hand and steel. The overall blade and handle profile is modeled directly after the knife that Gerhard forged himself right here in our workshop.
Note: This is a limited, handcrafted production run. Minor variations in dimensions and surface finishes are inherent to the artisanal forging process, making every single knife a unique individual piece.
