The Bunka 210mm Etched Hook DLC combines the high edge retention of ApexUltra monosteel with a durable Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating. Hardened to 66 HRC, the blade offers exceptional sharpness, a distinct carbide structure, and reliable edge stability. The DLC surface reduces friction during cutting and protects the carbon steel on the sides from corrosion.
 
With a 210 mm cutting edge and a 58 mm blade height, this Bunka provides precise control and ample knuckle clearance on the cutting board. The striking K-tip enables fine, intricate work, while the Etched Hook grind minimizes surface contact to ensure excellent food release. The spine tapers from 5.50 mm at the heel down to 1.80 mm at the midpoint, reaching 0.80 mm just 20 mm from the tip. Weighing only 130 grams, the blade offers lightweight, effortless handling.
 
As part of our Modular Takedown System, the blade is produced individually and can be flexibly paired with any compatible Takedown handle. Handles are made to order, so completion and shipping may take 2–4 weeks.
